GALLATIN, MO: Dennis Ballew, 65, (formerly of Eagleville, MO) passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at Daviess County Nursing and Rehab in Gallatin, MO.
He was born September 6, 1950 in Bethany, MO the son of Dean and Marilyn Jean (Polley) Ballew. They preceded him in death.
On October 1, 1983 he married Barb Pottorff. She survives at home.
Dennis was the owner of Beyond Insulation in Gallatin, MO. He was a member of the Gallatin Christian Church, Gallatin Men’s Club, NRA and served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam.
In addition to his wife, Barb, Dennis is survived by son, Corey Ballew, Montana; daughters, Brandy (Kevin) Vandiver-Ray, Shawnee, KS, Bethany Vandiver, Gallatin, MO; Matt Pottorff, raised of the home; sister, Deanna (Mark) Ballantyne, Kimberling City, MO; grandchildren, Brinley, Boston, Berkley, Bristol and Irena; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 15 at the First Christian Church, Gallatin, MO. Burial with military rites will follow in Masonic Cemetery, Eagleville, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
