BOBBY HUTTON WINS HARRISON COUNTY SPELLING BEE

North Harrison eighth grade student Bobby Hutton won the Harrison County Spelling Bee held Thursday, February 13 at the Cainsville School.  Bobby was also the Harrison County Champion in fifth and sixth grade.  The competition featured the top spellers in fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grades from North Harrison, Cainsville, Ridgeway, and South Harrison Schools.  (The Gilman City School does not participate.)  Bobby won the final round correctly spelling, "galoot", a clumsy or oafish person.  He advances to compete in the late-March Regional Spelling Bee held in St. Joe.  He is the son of Rod and Paula Hutton.

Pictured with Bobby is Hope Ellsworth, Cainsville, placing second; Carter Williams, South Harrison, third place; and Lauren Waddle, Cainsville, placing fourth.
