FFA trip to Hundley Whaley Farm

Wednesday, August 28

The North Harrison FFA Chapter took their annual field trip to Hundley Wayley in Albany Missouri on Wednesday. The Aggies learned about GMO's; talked to a Forester from the National Wild Turkey Federation who explained his job responsibilities; explored the in's and outs of Bee Keeping and the environment; learned about growing lettuce using hydroponics; saw the University of Missouri tractor pulling team, and learned about drone technology for agricultural uses.

These were only a few of the exciting things the Aggies experienced during their day.

As usual, the highlight of the trip was investigating the digestive/ruminating anatomy of a dairy cow where students were actually able to plunge their entire arm into the belly of a cow.

What a great day to be a Shamrock!  Thanks, Coach Koch for all of the pictures and a huge thanks to Coach Craig for making the trip possible!
