from the desk of Mr. Schmidli
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the new school year! I sincerely hope you have enjoyed your summer and are rested and relaxed, ready to learn and achieve. I believe that strong community-school relationships are critical for high learning achievement and I appreciate the support, involvement and enthusiasm from the North Harrison community. This community recognizes the value of educational opportunities and extracurricular activities. Students, parents, the administration, and the dedicated teachers and staff here at North Harrison, working together as a team, expect excellence both inside and outside of the classroom. Our students reflect these expectations through their character and commitment.
It is our desire to keep you informed of all that is taking place at school. The student handbook provides important information about our school's philosophy, procedures, and policies. It is a guide to the way we operate as a school. Also included in the handbook are behavioral expectations and guidelines for students. There have been some changes since last year, so everyone should read the handbook carefully and use it as a reference throughout the year. Also, keep an eye on the school website and the information that is included in regular newsletters.
It is a pleasure to welcome new staff member Mrs. Erica Eakes, who will be our Special Education teacher. I would encourage you to take the time from your busy schedule to become familiar with the teachers and staff at our school, as well to create a homework-friendly environment.
Thank you for your commitment to your child’s education. It’s GREAT TO BE A SHAMROCK!
Mr. Mike Schmidli
