Mrs. Rivet's Math and Science...

North Harrison middle school students placed 4th behind 1st King City, 2nd Chillicothe, and 3rd Stanberry on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the NWMSU campus for the Regional Science Olympiad contest. The students began working on their various projects on the first day after Christmas Break. Many of them stayed after school every evening until 5:00 pm practicing. Students departed North Harrison at 6:45 am and competed in a variety of events during the afternoon and arrived back at North Harrison at 5:45 pm. Several parents came to support the students at the event and were able to see a few of the competitions first-hand. The Science Olympiad team would like to thank community volunteers who helped in the building of projects and guiding students including; Ron Ury, John Rivet, Brett Perkins, Brandon Craig, and Mr. Sherman. We couldn't do it without the support of parents and volunteers. The kids really enjoyed themselves and learned some science at the same time :)
