North Harrison FFA Livestock Show

The North Harrison FFA Livestock Show was held Friday, June 1 with 89 head of livestock registered.

The sheep show featured 15 breeding and 28 market lambs.  Winners were Grand Champion Ewe shown by Tara Gray of Toledo, Iowa; Reserve Champion Ewe shown by Cody Batterson of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; Grand Champion Market Lamb shown by Zach Vermillion of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; Reserve Champion Market Lamb shown by Bailey Prichard of Princeton; Junior Sheep Showman, Brylee Bowles of Bethany; Senior Sheep Showman, Andrea Moser of Leon, Iowa.

A goat show was added this year with 10 breeding does and 12 market goats. Winners were Grand Champion Doe shown by Sterling Siemens of Orrick, Missouri; Reserve Champion Doe shown by Grant Taylor of Bethany; Grand Champion wether goat shown by Andrea Moser of Leon, Iowa; Reserve Grand Champion wether goat shown by Gage Porter of Mercer, Missouri; Junior Showman, Evan Funk of Grant City; Senior Showman, Gage Porter of Mercer.

The beef show had 17 heifers and 7 steers.  The Grand and Reserve Champion heifers were both Angus; Grand shown by Mardee Sadowsky, Reserve by Cooper Sadowsky, both of Eagleville. The Grand Champion Steer was shown by Bill Jennings of Bethany, Reserve Champion shown by Cooper Sadowsky.  The winner of Junior Showmanship was Jared Milligan of Ridgeway. Senior Showmanship was won by Bill Jennings.

T-shirts for the exhibitors were sponsored by Fred Bennett, Sales Agent for United Country Real Estate Nelson Real Estate, LLC and The Citizen's Bank of Blythedale.  The Village of Eagleville sponsors the premium money for the exhibitors.  Showmanship prizes were donated by Osage Grass and Livestock (Jim and Teela Sadowsky) of Eagleville.
