North
Harrison School participated in the “Kits4Kids” Haiti service project promoted by the Mo Dept of Education. Students, staff, and the community donated items and money to complete 147 hygiene kits.
Through “Kits4Kids,” students were given the opportunity to participate in this statewide humanitarian effort that will help Haitian children suffering in the aftermath of the Jan. 12 earthquake.
The North Harrison project was organized by seventh graders Drew Parkhurst, Isaac Welling, Austin Crain, Colton Castleberry, and Guidance Counselor Gloria Craig. Terry Bellinger of Bellinger Trucking (Eagleville, MO) and McFarland Truck Lines donated time and resources to pickup and transport kits from schools in Northwest Missouri to the Convoy of Hope center in Springfield. The Bellinger family also assisted with donation collections in the community.
Special thank you to Bellinger Trucking, McFarland Truck Lines, Pyro City, Stateline Conoco, John Deere Implement, Wal-Mart, and Hy-Vee for their business & employee donations to this project.
